If $\frac{1}{5}$ of a number is subtracted from $\frac{1}{3}$ of that number, the result is $6$ . Find the number.

Let the required number be $x$ .

Now according to the question

$\frac{x}{3} - \frac{x}{5} = 6$

$\frac{5 x - 3 x}{15} = 6$

$2 x = 15 \times 6$

$x = \frac{90}{2} = 45$

Hence the required number is $45$ .
