If the altitude of two similar triangles are in the ratio 2:3, what is the ratio of their areas?

Solution
Verified by Toppr

Area of Triangle Height of triangle
as Area=12baseheight

Since the Triangle are Similar
Ratio of all sides of both Triangles will be same
Hence, h1h2=b1b2=23

So, Ratio of Area =12h1b112h2b2=h1h2b1b2=2323=49
