If the circumference of the base of a solid right circular cone is 236 cm and its slant height is 12 cm , find its curved surface area.

Given,
Slant height of the cone l=12 cm
Let, radius of the base be r
Circumference of the base of cone =236 cm
2πr=236
πr=118.......(1)

Curved surface area of cone =πrl
=118×12 sq.cm
=1416 sq.cm

Hence, the required curved surface area is 1416 sq.cm .
