and number of girls $=g$ Total strength $=b+g$

Given : $b-g=12\%(b+g)$

$b-g=\frac{12}{100}(b+g)$

$b-g=\frac{3}{25}(b+g)$

$25(b-g)=3b+3g$

$25b-25g=3b+3g$

$22b=28g$

$\frac{b}{g}=\frac{28}{22}\frac{14}{11}$

$\frac{b}{g}=\frac{14}{11}$

Ratio of number of boys $:$ Numbers of girls $=14:11$
