Volume of cone with radius r and height h is =13×πr2h
=13×π(3)2h =3πh

But given volume =12π.

Then, h=4.
Given, r=3.

Therefore, slant height l=32+42=25=5

Hence, Lateral area of cone is =πrl=π×3×5=15π .

Therefore, option B is correct.
