On August 5, 2019, a Presidential order was issued, the constitution order 2019 which superseded the constitution order 1954 which made all provisions of the Indian constitution applicable to J & K.
Following the resolution passed in both house of the parliament, the President of India issued a further order on August 6, 2019, declaring all the clauses of Article 370 except clause 1 to be inoperative.
