Two figures are on the common base and between the same parallels if the base is one of the parallel lines and the opposite vertex lie on the line which is parallel to the common base.
Since,
$$1.$$ $$ABCD$$ and $$PDC$$ have same base $$DC$$
$$2.$$ $$AB\parallel DC$$
$$3.$$ $$P$$ lies on $$AB$$
Hence, $$ABCD$$ and $$PDC$$ lie on same base $$DC$$ and between same parallel lines $$AB$$ and $$DC.$$
