Question

In the circuit shown below
330793.jpg
  1. Current flowing in the circuit is 200 mA
  2. Power supplied by the battery is 2 watt
  3. Potential difference across 10 Ω is equal to zero
  4. Current from X to Y is zero

A
Current flowing in the circuit is 200 mA
B
Power supplied by the battery is 2 watt
C
Current from X to Y is zero
D
Potential difference across 10 Ω is equal to zero
Solution
Verified by Toppr

Here, 10 and 20 ohm resistance are short circuit and no current will flow through these resistance.
so, Req=50Ω

I=VR=1050=0.2A=200mA (A is correct)
Power=VI=10×0.2=2W (B is correct)
Therefore only C option is incorrect because Current from X to Y is 0.2A.
