Consider CAB and CED

CAB=CED (given)

ACB=ECD (common angle)

So by AA similarity criteria , CABCED

Hence proved.

Also corresponding sides are proportional in similar triangles.

So CACE=ABED

CD+DACE=ABED

8+710=9x

1510=9x

32=9x

x=6cm
