Question

List 1 Contains a list of processes involving expansion of an ideal gas. Match this with List 2 describing the thermodynamic change during this process. Indicate your answer by darkening the appropriate bubbles of the 4×4 matrix given in the ORS.

Solution
Verified by Toppr

A temperature of the system should remain constant as the pressure is decreased and volume increased satisfying PV = nRT

B adiabatic decrease in pressure as well as temperature hence system loses heat.

C same case system as above but the work done more than loss in internal energy hence heat gained.

D adiabatic expansion. temperature of initial state and final state can be same hence system gains heat.
