Decreasing the volume will cause backward shift if change in gaseous moles is positive (i.e., Δng>0).
Kp=Kc(RT)Δn
So Kp<Kc only if Δng<0.
Increasing the pressure will favour backward reaction if Δng>0.
Decrease of temperature favours forward reaction for exothermic reactions.
