Higher animals like mammals tend to maintain a constant internal environment despite changes in external environment. This is called as homoeostasis, e.g., in humans, the body temperature around 98.6 Fahrenheit is considered normal. In summers when outside temperature is high or in winters when outside temperature is very low the body temperature remains constant.
Whereas the feedback mechanism is the process wherein the upregulation and downregulation of genes, hormones, homoeostasis and other factors are controlled.
A cell is said to be homozygous for a particular gene when identical alleles of the gene are present on both homologous chromosomes.
Thus, the correct answer is an option A.
