According to Le Chatelier principle endothermic reaction proceed in forward direction on increasing temperature while the
exothermic reaction proceed in backward direction/on increasing temperature.
For the reaction, N2(g)+3H2(g)⇌2NH3(g), the equilibrium shifts in the forward direction by rise in pressure or by lowering the temperature.
For the reaction, 2SO2(g)+O2(g)⇌2SO3(g);ΔH=−ve, the equilibrium shifts in the forward direction by rise in pressure or by lowering the temperature.
For the reaction, N2(g)+O2(g)⇌2NO(g);ΔH=+ve,
the equilibrium shifts in the forward direction by rise in the temperature. However it is unaffected by pressure.
For the reaction, PCl3(g)+Cl2(g)⇌PCl5(g);ΔH=+ve, the equilibrium shifts in the forward direction by rise in pressure or by rise in the temperature.
