PPLO is the smallest cell or organism with the size of between 0.1 and 0.3 mm. Mycoplasma has included species discovered from pleural fluid of cattle suffering from pleuropneumonia. Bacteria are giants when compared to viruses. The smallest bacteria are about 0.4 microns (one-millionth of a meter) in diameter or 1-2micron while viruses range in size from 0.02 to 0.25 micron. This makes most viruses submicroscopic, unable to be seen in an ordinary light microscope. Typical prokaryotic cells range from 0.1 to 5.0 micrometres (μm) in diameter and are significantly smaller than eukaryotic cells, which usually have diameters ranging from 10 to 100 μm.
Hence the correct answer is (A)
