1.live wire ( Red colour)
2. neutral wire(Black colour)
3.earth wire (Green colour)
Earth wire is used as safety measures as;
if by chance, the live wire touches the metal case of the electric iron, which has been, then the current passes directly to the earth through the earth wire.It does not need our body to pass the current and, therefore comma we do not get an electric shock. Actually , a very heavy current flows supply.In this way, I think also says the electric appliance from damage due to excessive current and we also get saved from electric shock. first earthing electric appliance is used as a safety measure earth wire is of green colour
