Meiosis is observed in foetal cells. Amitosis is observed in mega nucleus of

Paramecium. Amitosis is a cell division by direct division of the nucleus and cytoplasm without spindle formation. Mitosis is also called as equational division. It is a cell division in which daughter cells are formed by formation of chromosomes. In this, daughter cell contains equal number of chromosome as of parent. Meiosis is a reduction division. In this, the daughter cell contains half the number of chromosome as of parent.
