Write three general physical properties of metals.
- Metals are sonorous, i.e. they produce ringing sounds when struck.
- They are malleable, which means they can be beaten into thin sheets.
- They are ductile as they can be drawn into thin wires.
Mercury, however, lacks these properties as it is a liquid metal.
