Nanda Devi Biosphere reserve is found in Uttarakhand, India. An ecosystem with plants and animals of unusual scientific and natural interest is known as a biosphere reserve. UNESCO has given this label for protecting these sites. The main motive is to promote the management, research, and education in conservation of education. It also includes the 'sustainable use of natural resources'. The number of biosphere reserves in May 2002 was 408 in 94 countries.
