A- i) Sweets are contaminated with starch and a dye known as metanil yellow. ii) Honey is contaminated with water and sugar. iii) Sugar is contaminated with sawdust,white powder, etc. iv) Ghee is contaminated with vanaspati. v) "Prevention of Food Adulteration Act, 1954" was enacted by the government of India. The objective of this act was to ensure pure and wholesome food to the consumers and also to prevent fraud or deception .
