  2. SO2
  3. NO2
  4. CO2

A
CO2
B
CO
C
SO2
D
NO2
Solution
Verified by Toppr

Carbon monoxide (CO) is the most dangerous pollutant which is produced from the incomplete combustion of fossil fuels. Carbon monoxide when inhaled can cause breathing problems. It has about 200 times more affinity for haemoglobin as compared to oxygen. Binding of carbon monoxide with haemoglobin forms carboxyhaemoglobin complex which is unable to transport oxygen to body parts. This can cause oxygen deficiency in the body which can ultimately lead to death.
So, the correct answer is 'CO'.
