B
Both Assertion and Reason are correct and Reason is the correct explanation for Assertion.
C
Assertion is correct but Reason is incorrect.
D
Both Assertion and Reason are correct but Reason is not the correct explanation for Assertion.
Solution
Verified by Toppr

Specific gravity is the ratio of the mass of a solid or liquid to the mass of an equal volume of distilled water at 4oC (39 F) or of a gas to an equal volume of air or hydrogen under prescribed conditions of temperature and pressure. As this is a relative quantity. So, it is dimensionless.
