Question

State the following statements are true/false:
$$ 10 \div (5 \times 2)=(10 \div 5) \times (10 \div 2)$$

A
True
B
False
Solution
Verified by Toppr

Correct option is B. False
The given statement is false.
As RHS
$$=10\div (5\times 2)$$
$$=\dfrac{10}{10}$$
$$=1$$.
And LHS
$$=(10\div 5)\times (10\div 2)$$
$$=\dfrac{10}{5}\times \dfrac{10}{2}$$
$$=2\times 5$$
$$=10$$.
So RHS $$\ne $$ LHS.
