Soft iron core is an example of soft ferromagnetic material. So, it is permeability and susceptibility is high and refertivity and coercivity is low. Which makes it behaves like an ideal electromagnet. Soft iron core inside coil makes the strong field and it loses its magnetism as soon as the current stops flowing.
