Sunderban tiger reserve is
present in West Bengal. It was made a tiger reserve on May 4th 1984. It
occupies an area of 328,680 acres.
It serves as a home to around
400 tigers. Apart from the Bengal tiger, fishing cats, leopard, wild
boar, Indian grey mongoose, fox, jungle
cat, flying fox, pangolin, chital, etc., are also found in abundance in the Sundarban.
