Suppose you have three concave mirrors A, B, and C of focal lengths 10 cm, 15 cm and 20 cm. For each concave mirror, you perform the experiment of image formation for three values of an object distance of 10 cm, 20 cm and 30 cm. Giving reason and answer the following:

a) For the three object distance, identify the mirror/ mirrors which will form an image of magnification -1.

b) Out of the three mirrors identify the mirror which would be preferred to be used for shaving purposes/makeup.

Q2

A student has three concave mirrors A B and C of focal lengths 20cm, 15cm and 10cm respectively. For each concave mirror, he performs the experiment of image formation for three values of an object distance of 30cm, 10cm and 20cm. Give reason and answer the following:
1. For the three object distances identify the mirror which will form an image equal in size to that of the object. Find at least one value of object distance.
2. Out of the three mirrors identify the mirror which would be used for shaving purpose.

Find out position of image and also size and nature of image in following cases and draw ray diagrams for each of the cases:-
(1). CONCAVE LENS
f=10 cm
object distance= 10cm
(2). CONCAVE MIRROR
f=20cm
height of object=400cm
distance of object =10 cm
(3). CONVEX LENS
P=2D
object distance= 20 cm
(4). CONVEX MIRROR
f=40 cm
object size= 2cm
object distance = 40cm
