The number of male workers in $2003=5$,

the number of male workers in $2004=7$ and

the number of male workers in $2005=9$.

So the total of male workers in $3yrs.=5+7+9=21$.

Again The number of female workers in $2003=8$,

the number of female workers in $2004=9$ and

the number of female workers in $2005=5$.

So the total of female workers in $3yrs.=8+9+5=22$.

$\therefore$ The difference between the male & female workers $=22-21=1$.
