Question

The circumference of the base of a conical tent is 44m. If the height of the ten is 24m, then find the length of the canvas used in making the tent if the width of the canvas is 2m.

Solution
Verified by Toppr

Let h be the height of the conical tent
r be the radius of its base B be the width of the canvas
Circumference of base=44
2×pie×r=44
R=44744
R=7m
l=97+4444=5
Area of canvas =csa of cone
L×B=pie×r×l
L=22×5×77×2=55m
Thus the length of canvas used 55m
