Question

The dimensions of QVC is,(Q=charge,V=voltage,C=capacitance, take dimension of current as k)
  1. M2L4T6k1
  2. M2L4T6k2
  3. M2L4T6k1
  4. M2L4T6k2

A
M2L4T6k1
B
M2L4T6k1
C
M2L4T6k2
D
M2L4T6k2
Solution
Verified by Toppr

We know that, Q=CV so QVC=(CV)VC=V2
So we have to find out only dimension of V2
Volatge V=Ed=FQd
We know that dimension of force, [F]=[MLT2], distance [d]=[L] and charge [Q]=[kT] (as charge = current× time)
Now, [V]=[MLT2][kT][L]=[ML2T3k1]
Thus, [V2]=[M2L4T6k2]
