Taking 70 as assumed mean (a), calculating di,ui,fiui:
From the table:
fi=35
fiui=2
Mean, ¯x=a+(fiuifi)×h
=70+(235)×10
=702035
=7047
=700.57
=69.43
Therefore, mean literacy rate is 69.43%
