Question

The height of a cone is 15 cm. If its volume is 1570cm2 , Find the radius of the base (use π=3.14)

Solution
Verified by Toppr

Let the radius of the base of cone be r cm

Given height of a cone is h=15 cm

As we know that

Volume of a cone with radius r and height h is 13πr2h

Given volume of the cone is 1570 cm3

13π(r2)(15)=1570

r2=3×15703.14×15=100

r=10 cm

Radius of the base is 10 cm
