Question

The height of a right circular cylinder is 14 cm and the radius of its base is 2 cm. Find its total surface area.

Solution
Verified by Toppr

We know that the total surface area of a right circular cylinder with radius r and height h is TSA=2πr(r+h).

It is given that the height is h=14 cm and the radius is 2 cm. So,

TSA=2πr(r+h)
=2×227×2(2+14)
=887×16
=14087
=201.14 cm2

Hence, the total surface area is 201.14 cm2.
