Muhammad Ghori belonged to the Ghorid dynasty which replaced the Ghaznavids in Afghanistan. He was successful in establishing a secured and powerful Muslim kingdom in India, after a series of invasions. His last expedition was against the Khokhars in 1206 in which he emerged victoious.
