Question

The lateral surface area of a cylinder of length 14 m is 220 m2. Find the volume of the cylinder.

Solution
Verified by Toppr

Lateral surface area of a cylinder of radius r and height h is =2πrh=220
Given, length = height=14m
2πr(14)=220
2×227×r×14=220
r=104=52m.
and its volume =πr2h=227×254×14=275m3.
