The length of a rectangular field is twice its breadth. Given its perimeter is 54 m, find its length and breadth.

Given: Length of a rectangular field=2×breadth.

l=2b

Perimeter=2(l+b)=54m

2(2b+b)=54m

3b=542=27m

b=273=9m.

and we have l=2b=2×9=18m

l=18m and b=9m
