The magnetic field of an electromagnet may be hundreds of times stronger than the magnetic field of just the solenoid. Explain, why ?

An electromagnet is a combination of a solenoid and a core that is magnetized when current is passed through it.
The magnetic field produced by electromagnet is equal to the sum of that of solenoid and the magnetized core.
As a result, magnetic field of an electromagnet becomes hundreds time stronger than that of just the solenoid.
