The product of two rational numbers is $$\dfrac{-14}{27}.$$ If one of the numbers be $$\dfrac{7}{9},$$ find the other.

According to question,
$$ \dfrac{7}{9} \times x=\dfrac{-14}{27} $$
$$\Rightarrow x = \dfrac{-14 \times 9}{27 \times 7}$$
$$\Rightarrow x = \dfrac{-2}{3}$$

Hence, The other number is $$-\dfrac23$$.
