Question

The radius and height of a cone are in the ratio of 4:3. Find the curved surface area if the volume of cone is 26912cm3

Solution
Verified by Toppr

Given let 'r' be radius and 'h' be height of cone
then [rh=43] ...(1)
and volume of cone =26912cm3
now volume=13πr2h=26912
from (1) [h=34r]
13πr2×3r4=5392
r3=4×5392×π=343.033343
[r=7cm] now h=34×7=214cm
now CSA of coneπrl=πrr2+h2
=πrr2+h2=3.14.749+(214)2
[CSA=27.44cm2]
Hence curved surface area of cone is27.44cm2
