The radius of a circle is 13 cm and the length of one of its chords is 10 cm, find the distance of the chord from the centre.

1/2 chord=10×1/2=5cm
Distance of the chord =r2l2
=13252
=16925
=144
=(12)2
= 12. cm
The distance of the chord = 12 cm.
