The ratio of expenditure to the income of a person is 7 : 8. What amount will he save for month if his monthly salary is Rs. 64,000?

Let the expenditure and income be 7x and 8x respectively.

Monthly salary =Rs.64000(Given)

8x=64000

=640008=8000

Expenditure =7x=7×8000=56000

Therefore,

Saving = Income Expenditure

Saving =6400056000=Rs.8000

Hence the saving of the person Rs.8000.
