Question

The ratio of slant height and the radius of a cone is 7:4. If its lateral surface area is 792cm2, then find its radius.

Solution
Verified by Toppr

Given, slant height (I) : radius ( r ) =7:4
lr=74
l=74r(i)
And its lateral surface area =792cm2
πrl=792
227×r×74r=792
22×74×7r2=792
r2=792×422
=316822=144
r=144=12cm
Hence, radius of the cone =12cm
