In the given circuit, suppose, r=10Ω
r1=10Ω
r2=20Ω
and, r3=50Ω
(Please refer the diagram.)
Now, r1,r2,r3 are connected in parallel. Suppose, resultant of these three resistances is Re.
Therefore, 1re=1r1+1r2+1r3=110+120+150=17100
Hence, re=10017Ω
Now, resistances r and re are connected in series.
Therefore, equivalent resistance in the given circuit, R=r+re
R=10+10017=27017Ω, which is more than 10Ω, but less than 20Ω.
