Question

The sum of all six exterior angles of triangle is ___________.
  1. 180
  2. 360
  3. 720
  4. 90

A
180
B
360
C
720
D

Solution
Verified by Toppr

Here, we have six exterior angles namely ABE,ACD,BAF,BCG,CAH,CBI.
According to exterior angle theorem,
mACD=mA+mB
mABE=mA+mC
mBAF=mB+mC
mBCG=mA+mB
mCAH=mB+mC
mCBI=mA+mC
Now, taking the sum of all the exterior angles of ABC, we get
mACD+mABE+mBAF+mBCG+mCAH+mCBI
=4(mA+mB+mC)
=4(180)
=720.
