Then, present age of father is $(60-x)$.

According to the question,

$\Rightarrow$ $(60-x)-6=5(x-6)$

$\Rightarrow$ $54-x=5x-30$

$\Rightarrow$ $54+30=5x+x$

$\Rightarrow$ $84=6x$

$\Rightarrow$ $x=\frac{84}{6}$

$\Rightarrow$ $x=14$

$\therefore$ Son's age after $6$ years $=(x+6)years$

$=(14+6)years$

$=20years.$
