Question

The weight of a solid cone having diameter 14 cm and vertical height 51 cm is ____ if the material of solid cone weighs 10 grams per cubic cm.
  1. 26.18 kg
  2. None of these
  3. 2.18 kg
  4. 6.18 kg

A
6.18 kg
B
None of these
C
26.18 kg
D
2.18 kg
Solution
Verified by Toppr

The correct option is A 26.18 kg
Given, diameter d=14cm.
Let r be the radius of the cone.
r=d2=142=7.
Also, height h=51cm.
Therefore, Volume of cone =π3r2h.
V=π3×72×51=227×49×51×13=2618cm3.

As weight of 1cm3=10gm,
weight of 2618cm3=26180gm
26.18kg.

Hence, option A is correct.
