Question

The angle between incident ray and reflected ray is 90o. Find the angle of reflection.
  1. 45o
  2. 90o
  3. Can't be predicted
  4. 30o

A
45o
B
Can't be predicted
C
30o
D
90o
Solution
Verified by Toppr

According to law of reflection
The angle of incidence = the angle of reflection =θ, say.
So, the angle between the incident and the reflected ray=θ+θ=2θ
As per given condition, 2θ=900
or, θ=450
The angle of reflection is 450
