There are 1650 students in a college. The difference between the number of boys and girls in the college is 400. What is the percentage of girls in the college ?

BG=400 ______ (2) (given)
(1)+(2)2B=2050B=1025
Substituting B=1025 in (1) G=16501025
G=625
% of girls = No.ofgirlsTotalno.ofstudents
625×1001650=38%(approx)
