Let the total number of articles $=100$.

Then the number of coins $=60$ and

the number of rings $=100-60=40$.

$\therefore$ The number of gold rings $=$ $40\times \frac{40}{100}=16$

Again the number of silver coins $=$ $60\times \frac{30}{100}=18$

$\therefore$ The number of gold coins $=60-18=42$.

$\therefore$ The total number of gold articles $=16+42=58$.

So, the p.c of gold articles $=58$.
