  1. IAi and IBi
  2. IAIB and i i
  3. IBIB and IAIA

  5. None of the above

A
None of the above
B
IAi and IBi

IAIB and i i
D
IBIB and IAIA
E
IAIA and i i
Solution
Verified by Toppr

Human blood group inheritance is governed by three alleles namely IA, IB and i. IA and IB show codominance while allele "i" is recessive to both "IA" and "IB". Therefore, children with A blood group have atleast one IA allele but no IB allele while those with B blood group have atleast one IB allele but no IA allele. Similarly, children with AB blood group will have one copy of each IA and IB allele. Option A is correct as the children with A, B and AB blood group are produced. Another child with O blood group can be produced along with these children as there is presence of i allele in both parents.
Thus, the correct answer is option A.
