Two points P and Q, diametrically opposite on a disc of radius R have linear velocities v and 2v as shown in figure. The angular speed of the disc is vxR. Find the value of x.

Let linear velocity of Center of Mass(COM) be u towards left, and angular speed be ω clockwise.
So linear velocity of top-most point is uωR=v
and, linear velocity of bottom-most point is u+ωR=2v
From above two equations, u=3v/2 and ω=v/2R
So x=2
