What is called the uppermost layer of the earth?
The crust is the outermost layer of the Earth’s surface, where we live. The thickness ranges from 0 to 60 kilometers. It’s a solid rock layer that comes in two varieties
1. Continental crust covers the land
2. Oceanic crust covers water.
